The City of Saba (2) The people of Saba feel bored with just the mention of prophecy. They have no desire of any kind. Maybe some idle curiosity about miracles, but that's it. This over-richness is a subtle disease. Those who have it are blind to what's wrong, and deaf to anyone who points it out. The city of Saba cannot be understood from within itself, but there is a cure, as individual medicine, not a social remedy. Sit quietly and listen for a voice that will say, Be more silent. As that happens, your soul starts to revive. Give up talking, and your positions of power. Give up the excessive money. Turn toward the teachers and the prophets who do not live in Saba. They will help you grow sweet again, and fragrant and wild and fresh, and thankful for any small event.

La Ciudad de Saba (2) Los habitantes de Saba se aburren con solo mencionar las profecías. No tienen deseos de ningun tipo. Quizá una ligera curiosidad sobre milagros, pero nada más. Esta abundancia es una enfermedad sutil. Aquellos que la tienen no se dan cuenta de  lo que está mal, y no escuchan a quien habla de ello. La ciudad de Saba no puede ser entendida desde dentro, pero hay un remedio, un medicamento individual, no un remedio social. Siéntate en silencio y escucha una voz que dirá, Sé más silencioso. Mientras que eso sucede, tu alma empieza a revivir. Deja de hablar y renuncia a tus posiciones de poder, renuncia a tener dinero en exceso. Voltea hacia los maestros y profetas que no viven en Saba, ellos te ayudarán a ser dulce otra vez, fragante, entusiasta, fresco y a estar agradecido por el más pequeño suceso.

Commentary: ​Our ego likes the status quo and hates being still. Ego transcendence is a movement from being a citizen of Saba to living in the city of Awe; finding pleasure, aliveness and meaning in everything.

Comentario:  A nuestro ego le agrada el statu quo y le choca estar quieto. Trascender el ego implica cambiar de ciudadanía dejar de vivir en Saba y empezar a vivir en Asombro. Encontrar placer, entusiasmo y significado en todo.
