Two Kinds of Intelligence There are two kinds of intelligence: one acquired, as a child in school memorizes facts and concepts from books and from what the teacher says, collecting information from the traditional sciences as well as from the new sciences. With such intelligence you rise in the world. You get ranked ahead or behind others in regard to your competence in retaining information. You stroll with this intelligence in and out of fields of knowledge, getting always more marks on your preserving tablets. There is another kind of tablet, one already completed and preserved inside you. A spring overflowing its springbox. A freshness in the center of the chest. This other intelligence does not turn yellow or stagnate. It's fluid, and it does not move from outside to inside through the conduits of plumbing-learning. This second knowing is a fountainhead from within you, moving out.

Dos tipos de inteligencia Hay dos tipos de inteligencia: una es adquirida, como la de los niños en la escuela que memorizan hechos y conceptos de los libros y de lo que dice la maestra, recolectando información de la ciencia tradicional y también de la ciencia moderna.  Con este tipo de inteligencia prósperas en el mundo. De acuerdo a tu habilidad para retener información eres considerado mejor o peor que otros. Con esta inteligencia entras y sales de las áreas del conocimiento, siempre recibiendo más puntos en tu Libro de Decretos (al-Lawh al-Mahfooz). Hay otro tipo de Libro, uno que ya está completo y que está guardado dentro de ti. Un manantial desbordante. Una frescura en el centro del pecho. Este tipo de inteligencia no se estagna ni se amarillenta. Es fluida y no se mueve de afuera hacia dentro a través de los conductos de plomería del aprendizaje. Este tipo de saber es una fuente dentro de ti moviéndose hacia afuera.

Commentary: When the first intelligence is in charge it operates in ignorance of the peace, joy and intuition of the second; it muddles the water of awareness. It takes some time of silence and/or strong intention coupled with grace for the waters to become clear and allow the second intelligence to shine through.      

Comentario:   Cuando el primer tipo de inteligencia está al mando funciona ignorando la alegría, paz e intuición de la segunda; enturbia las aguas de la presencia. Se requiere tomar un tiempo de silencio o de una fuerte intención y gracia para que las aguas se aclaren y permitan que el segundo tipo de inteligencia brille y sea percibido.
