The King Inside - El Rey Dentro - 138

The King Inside There are people with their eyes open whose hearts are shut. What do they see? Matter. But someone whose love is alert, even if the eyes go to sleep, he or she will be waking up thousands of others. If you are not one of those light-filled lovers, restrain your desire-body's intensity. Put limits on how much you eat and how long you lie down. But if you are awake here in the chest, sleep long and soundly. Your spirit will be out roaming and working, even on the seventh level. Muhammed says, I close my eyes and rest in sleep, but my love never needs to rest. The guard at the gate drowses. The king stays awake. You have a king inside who listens for what delights the soul. That king's wakefulness cannot be described in a poem.

El Rey Dentro Existen personas con los ojos abiertos y el corazón cerrado. ¿Qué es lo que ven? La materia. Pero  aquellos cuyo amor está atento, aun cuando los ojos duerman, él o ella estarán despertando a miles de otros. Si tu no eres uno de esos amantes llenos de luz, conten la intensidad de los deseos del cuerpo. Límita la cantidad de alimentos que ingieres y el tiempo que estás acostado. Pero si estás despierta aquí en el pecho, duerme larga y profundamente. Tu espíritu seguirá viajando y trabajando aún en el séptimo cielo.   Mahoma dice, cierro mis ojos y descanso y duermo, pero mi amor nunca necesita descansar. El guardia del portón dormita. El Rey se mantiene despierto. Tu tienes un rey dentro que escucha lo que deleita al alma. El despertar de ese rey no puede ser descrito en un poema.

Commentary: A King sleeps while the ego steward struts around indulgently pretending he is the real deal.  What now would delight the soul and tickle the fancy of the King?

Comentario: El rey duerme mientras que el ego mayordomo se pavonea indulgentemente pretendiendo ser el mero mero. ¿En este momento que deleita a tu alma y hace que el rey disfrute y se sienta satisfecho?
