The Cat and the Meat There was once a sneering wife who ate all her husband brought home and lied about it. One day it was some lamb for a guest who was to come. He had worked two hundred days in order to buy that meat. When he was away, his wife cooked a kabob and ate it all, with wine. The husband returns with his guest. The cat has eaten the meat, she says. Buy more, if you have any money left. He asks a servant to bring the scales and the cat. The cat weighs three pounds. The meat was three pounds, one ounce. If this is the cat, where is the meat? If this is the meat, where is the cat? Start looking for one or the other.

El gato y la carne Había una vez una esposa que se burlaba y por desprecio se comía todo lo que su esposo traía a casa y le mentía al respecto. Un dia el esposo trajo un cordero para un invitado que iba a venir. Había trabajado doscientos días para comprar la carne. Cuando se ausentó, la esposa preparó brochetas y se las comió todas, con vino. El esposo llega a casa con el huésped; ella le dice:  el gato se comió la carne, compra más si aún te queda dinero. El esposo le pide al sirviente que traiga la báscula y al gato. El gato pesa dos kilos, la carne pesaba dos kilos 100 gramos. ¿Si este es el gato, donde esta la carne? ¿Si esta es la carne, donde esta el gato? Empieza a buscar a uno o al otro.

Commentary: Each moment there is the guest of the Friend. As a good host we offer the guest our attention and the best we have. Where is the Friend in this moment? What can I offer the Friend?

Comentario: A cada momento el amigo es el invitado. Como buen huesped le ofrecemos a este huesped nuestra atencion y lo mejor que tenemos. ¿Dónde está el amigo en este momento?  ¿Que le puedo ofrecer?
