Dissolver of Sugar Dissolver of sugar, dissolve me, if this is the time. Do it gently with a touch of a hand, or a look. Every morning I wait at dawn. That’s when it has happened before. Or do it suddenly like an execution. How else can I get ready for death? You breathe without a body, like a spark. You grieve, and I begin to feel lighter. You keep me away with your arm, but the keeping away is pulling me in.

Al que disuelve el azúcar Al que disuelve el azúcar, si este es el momento disuélveme a mi. Hazlo gentilmente con la caricia de una mano o una mirada. Cada mañana espero en el alba. Es cuando ha sucedido anteriormente. O hazlo repentinamente como una ejecución. ¿De qué otra forma puedo prepararme para la muerte? Tu respiras sin un cuerpo como una chispa. Te aflijes y me empiezo a sentir más ligera. Me mantienes a distancia con tu brazo, pero al mantenerme lejos me estas jalando.

2017 Commentary: A chemical reaction sometimes requires heat or a catalyst. Life, or shall I say the Friend, adds heat, often unexpectedly and unwanted. The change that our deepest desire wants might come with a nudge from the Friend or with the destruction of all we hold dear.

Comentario:  A veces una reacción química requiere calor o un catalizador. La vida, o mejor dicho el amigo, nos da ese calor la mayoría de las veces inesperadamente o cuando no lo queremos. El cambio que deseamos más profundamente viene con un empujoncito del amigo o con la destrucción de todo lo que apreciamos.
