A Pilgrimage to a Person
When you are not with close friends,
you are not in the presence.
It is sad to leave the people you travel with.
How much more so those who remind you of God.
Hurry back to the ones protecting you.
On every trip, have only one objective,
to meet those who are friends
inside the presence.
If you stay home, keep the same purpose, to meet the innermost presence as it lives in people.
Be a pilgrim to the Kaaba inside a human being, and Mecca will rise into view on its own. |
Peregrinación hacia un ser humano
Cuando no estás con amigos cercanos
no estás en la Presencia.
Es triste separarse de las personas con las que viajas. Pero mucho más de quienes te recuerdan a Dios.
Apúrate a regresar con los que te protegen.
En cada viaje ten un solo objetivo:
conocer a los que son amigos viviendo dentro de la presencia.
Si te quedas en casa mantén el mismo propósito, reconocer la presencia más íntima y cómo se manifiesta en cada persona.
Se el peregrino que se dirige hacia la Kaaba que existe dentro de cada ser humano y la Mecca surgirá por sí misma. |
2017 Commentary: On a mountain the seasons change and the wind blows. In the center of the mountain there is no news. You are a mountain and at your center you will find the new Jerusalem and the Mecca circling you.
Comentario: En la montaña las estaciones cambian y sopla el viento. En el centro de la montaña no hay noticias. Tu eres una montaña y en tu centro encontrarás al nuevo Jerusalem y la Meca girando.
If I find myself in a state of bland dryness, not possessed by a universal love, then the most meaningful purpose in life is to find the living water of alive oneness. The phrase, ‘pulling yourself up by your bootstraps’ comes to mind. Mindfulness practices, meditation, and friends who are also doing soul work aid in this journey.
