Awkward Comparisons This physical world has no two things alike. Every comparison is awkwardly rough. You can put a lion next to a man, but the placing is hazardous to both. Say the body is like this lamp. It has to have a wick and oil, sleep and food. If it doesn't get those, it will die, and it is always burning those up, trying to die. But where is the sun in this comparison? It rises, and the lamp's light mixes with the day. Oneness, which is the true reality, cannot be understood with lamp and sun images, and the blurring of a plural into a unity is wrong. No image can describe what of our fathers and mothers, our grandfathers and grandmothers, remains. Language does not touch the one who lives in both of us.

Comparaciones torpes En este mundo físico no hay dos cosas iguales. Toda comparación es aproximada y torpe. Puedes colocar a un león junto a un hombre, pero esto es peligroso para ambos. Imagina que el cuerpo es como una lámpara. Necesita tener una mecha y aceite, alimento y sueño. Si no recibe estas cosas se muere y sin embargo siempre las esta quemando tratando de morir.   ¿Pero dónde está el sol en esta comparación? Sale el sol y la luz de la lámpara se mezcla con la luz del día. Pero la unidad, que es la verdadera realidad, no se puede comprender con imágenes del sol y de la lámpara, y es un error difuminar el plural para hacerlo unidad. Ninguna imagen puede describir que es lo que queda de nuestros padres y madres, de nuestros abuelos y abuelas.   El lenguaje no alcanza a tocar al que vive en nosotros dos.

Commentary:  Infinity boggles my mind. One as a rational concept seems easy to understand, but One is the sum of an apparent infinity of manifestations as well as the source of the manifestations. Rational understanding of One falls on it’s face in the face of a cancer diagnoses, an election result, or even just a scam phone call.

Comentario: El infinito me pasma y confunde. La Unidad como un concepto racional parece fácil de comprender, pero la Unidad es la suma de infinitas manifestaciones y también del origen de esas manifestaciones.  El conocimiento de Unidad se va de boca ante un diagnóstico de cáncer, el resultado de las elecciones e incluso ante algo más sencillo como recibir una llamada telefónica para estafar.
